✨ New features! ISWCs and Catalog Import/Export

They’re great on their own, but combined they make it a lot easier to use IC for publishing royalties.

First up is ISWCs in Tracks

We’ve always used Tracks for publishing works, but now we’ve added support for ISWCs as a metadata identifier.

This makes cleanup of publishing data MUCH easier – IC will now automatically match transactions with ISWCs to their corresponding Tracks in IC.

And of course, you can still use ISRCs as a way to identify the master-side income (though we recommend doing this in a separate instance of the Track)!

Next is the Catalog Import/Export tool.

Typically, folks build their catalog in IC just by importing royalty data, which leverages our Spotify integration to build the Artists, Releases, and Tracks automatically.

But this doesn’t work as well for publishers, labels with a lot of physical-only releases, or IC catalogs that aren’t actually music (we see you, we love you).

Now, anyone can import their Artists/Songwriters, Releases/Tracks/Works, and unique values like UPCs, ISRCs, and (yes!) ISWCs, from a single .csv file, and they’ll appear in IC exactly the way you want them to.

Lastly if you need to put that metadata elsewhere, you can also export your catalog metadata with a click.
