For those who aren’t familiar, Music Ally is an incredible resource for new and established labels and always on the cutting edge of music tech and how it will impact independents.

Music Ally SI:X is their new global showcase for music/tech startups. Sixcompanies have been shortlisted in each of their six different categories (the list of all 36 shortlisted companies inc. us!) and those will be whittled down to a final six winners by the (you guessed it) six industry giants sponsoring the contest – Amazon Music, FUGA, PRS for Music, The Raine Group, Reed Smith and Universal Music Group.

The hallowed prize? A mentoring program from those sponsors and Music Ally, access to other business and educational resources and presenting spots at the NY:LON Connect event in London next January, which is a global music conference that Music Ally put on annually with Music Biz.

An amazing opportunity then and something we were particularly drawn to at IC because awareness is our biggest challenge – most folks don’t know royalty platforms like ours even exist as a concept, so we’re excited to be in the running to get the opportunity to spread the good word about both IC and the benefits that catalogs and creators both see when everyone is on the same page.
